114 Taipei Photo Diary | Day 7

A hot day calls for shaved ice! Little did we know how hot the say was going to be. Silly me, I chose to wear black jeans to stop the itching from my many mosquito bites. The temperature was about 88F but it felt more like 100F. Since Chiang Kai Shek was the only person to really enjoy the shade, we decided to skip the botanical gardens all together and grab some shaved ice/snow? We ordered the mango and coffee flavors from Ice Monster before hitting up the wholesale district. After walking for what felt like 30 miles, we decided to eat dinner in the Yong Kang district. We were turned away from two restaurants before deciding to eat at Golden Chicken. Not knowing what to order, we relied on the good ol' xiao long bao and sui mai. The xiao long bao were comparable to Din Tai Fung. The sui mai was aiiiight. Overall, my legs are happy to rest and my stomach is full so I can't complain too much.
