I recently picked up these NYX lipliners and I really like them. They are a little drying but they lasted throughout a nap and some mangos, the true test of time. My favorite is brown, which I'm wearing in the second picture.

162. Brow Power

My current brow routine depends on how much time I have to get ready. I use the Dipbrow pomade when I have all the time in the world to make my brows perfect. I use to the Kat Von D tattoo brow pen when I don't have any time but need to look presentable. I always need to use the Eyeko brow gel no matter what.

157 Orange and Purple

Sundays are for running errands and taking my time putting on my makeup. I am currently trying to put down the foundation until my skin clears up (It's already been a whole month! C'mon skin!). On my eyes, I used a mixture of all of my eyeshadow palettes. Sugarpill's Burning Heart palette for the orange and purple, Makeup Geek's Unexpected for my transition shade, and Kat Von D's Ladybird palette for everything else- I'm seriously loving these palettes.

Have you ever bought something and not used it/wore it/etc.? I bought the Nars Audacious lipstick in Vivien around Christmas and did not put it on my lips, much less swatch it, because it is just so beautiful. I feel foolish for waiting so long to wear it. It's such a nice color and I will be wearing it forever and ever.

Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of your forearm without a tripod? It's really hard. I probably took 20 shots and only 2 were useable. Anyways, I placed an order from MAC mainly to buy the Heroine lipliner. The Heroine lipstick is my favorite MAC lipstick of all time so I needed the matching lipliner. Along with the lipliner, I also bough the Dervish lipliner, Creme Cup lipstick, and Cranberry eyeshadow. I know, I know. I'm now on a makeup ban. The swatches are from the top: cranberry, heroine, dervish, and creme cup!

I purchased some Makeup Geek eyeshadows to fill in the many empty spaces in my 15 pan MAC palette. I purchased Bitten, Unexpected, and Corrupt. I'm pleasantly surprised by how nice and pigmented they are, especially because they're all matte. They now sit alongside my MAC eyeshadows with 5 empty spaces...which will soon be filled. But alas, I shall not by any makeup until my birthday, or at least that's the goal.

153 Sugarpill

Another eyeshadow palette, but I only have 3 (minus my custom MAC palette) so I don't feel as hopelessly addicted to makeup. I have heard about Sugarpill here and there on the internet but when I went searching for a good matte purple and red eyeshadow, many opinions led me to the Sugarpill site. It was perfect timing because a couple days later they had a 20% off sale. I am really glad I bought the palette, though I wish they made the pans smaller in area and included a matte blue. I'm not really complaining because they're so pigmented and soft. I'm so looking forward to wearing these soon!

I've been on a red eyeshadow kick as you'll see with future posts. I don't know what it is that I love about red eyeshadows, especially because people view them as making people look sickly. I saw this at Sephora and I immediately placed it in my basket with no regards to the price tag (and boy is the price up there). I haven't worn this yet, heck my first time touching it was when I swatched it to photograph. I'm looking forward to slapping this duochrome red onto my eyelids and looking sick.

151 Last Call

The last day of the month means the last day of my one palette, many looks challenge. I had fun creating different looks and being adventurous with makeup. Mayhaps my March challenge should be to wear my many lip products everyday. We'll see.

Happy unofficial punk day and Friday! I'm looking forward to Zumba class and seeing family and friends, and hopefully a brand new baby.

I'm not very pleased with today's look but I had to get to work. I'll try and wake up earlier tomorrow. I am currently trying out Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation and it's a good match but it's workable. The hunt for the perfect foundation continues...

It's been a long time, shouldn't have left you. I'm back and hopefully I'll be updating often as my life is a bit less chaotic. I'm currently participating in a makeup challenge that requires me to use the same eyeshadow palette all month. My palette is the UD Electric Palette and I'm really digging the looks I've been coming up with. I'm by no means a professional makeup artist but if I'm going to pick up a hobby, I'd like to perfect my skills. It's also a bit hard to replicate other people's look because of my eye shape but oh well. I apologize for having only shared this look as it's already been nine days into the challenge.

Things I have been enjoying.

A major zit breakout from eating too many fries and using products my skin did not like resulted in the Kate Somerville EradiKate acne treament and Nars concealor. I am now only starting to look human and not like I have chicken pox.

My favorite beauty products include the Nars Lhasa eyeshadow on top of the Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe, giving off the impression that I put in effort but I really just slapped it on. I rediscovered my Urban Decay lipstick in Fiend and will now wear it foreva.

I first swatched this Kat Von D eyeliner in Sephora and knew I could not live without it. As an avid wearer of winged eyeliner, I was drawn to the uber black ink & brush tip. A+!

Everytime I walk into a Sephora, I walk out having spent more than I anticipated. Since my skin has been mad at me for the overconsumption of french fries the past few days (/weeks...). Along with my poor diet, I used a face lotion that's made zits appear where I did not think possible (my neck?! I now understand you, Catherine). I bought the Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment. It smells like rubbing alcohol and looks like calamine lotion but I've read some reviews stating that it works wonders so let us pray. I also bought the Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer to cover my zits during the day. I can't walk out of Sephora without a lip product and this week's product is the new lustre matte long-wear lip color in Nude Pink. Awww yeah.

My current most-used eyeshadows are in my MAC quad. Clockwise they are: MAC's Swiss chocolate, MAC's Era, Benefit's unnamed highlighter, and MAC's Naked Lunch.Used in combination or stand alone, these eyeshadows make me question if I actually need my Urban Decay NAKED pallette. Isn't that the advantage of creating a customized pallette?
