Since the weather has been so nice since we've been here, an adventure to the beach was in store. We were mainly scared about getting lost on the public transportation but everything worked out in the end. We arrived at the beach around 1pm which allowed us ample time to have a photoshoot, compete in a sandbuilding competition, and eat all of the snacks we gathered at the beginning of the day. Upon our arrival back at the Tamsui metro station, we hopped into McDonald's and had some fries, Sprite, and chignugs. We then went to Chen San Ding, a milk honey-boba place near NTU, because we were all thirsty. It was alriiiight. We all agreed that we liked the actual tapioca but I would have like for it to have actual black tea. Christine thought the boba was too sweet. And Catherine- I forgot what her opinion was but I'm sure she'll comment *ahem* her critiques. Post-boba was chill time in the apartment before departing, once again, to Yong Kang street for some fried spring onion pancake. I ordered the mine with cheese and egg with a hint of spice. It was really good but my stomach was really excited for the main event. BUTTER BUNS. Hohomei, oh how you tempt me with the idea of butter inside an already baked sweet bun. We were really fortunate that Catherine's apartment was a hop and skip away from the bakery because I was *almost* able to have this delight every night. I'm really bummed that I'm leaving this place behind. I want to take back a bazillion butter buns!
I am now sunburned, post-showered, and listening to Catherine sing Wacklemore's Thrift Shop. Tomorrow is the last day and I'm unsure how to feel about our stay here ending.
