110. Taipei Photo Diary | Day 3

Day 3 was rainy and gloomy and all around gray. The first order of business was, of course, food. We wanted to go to the Din Tai Fung flagship store considering all the hype with it being a top 10 restaurant in the world. We thought there would be a line considering its popularity but we were immediately seated. We ordered the fmous soup dumplings, or xiao long bao, along with some other dishes. I would rate it above quality but since I've had it in SoCal, I can't say much about it being as delicious as other food critics. Perhaps its quality has gone down due to such rave reviews, leading us commoners to the restaurant's doorsteps. Afterwards we headed to a nearby bakery because a food blogger considered it to be "truly a gem". It was aight. Our main activity for the day was the National Palace Museum. Since we weren't allowed to take pictures I ended my photographing there. There was a fancy bit of lettuce inside the museum that had everyone going goo-goo-ga-ga, but I won't post any spoilers!
